This year Dorsey Schools is teaming up with 98.7 AMP Radio for their annual event, Gown Town. Each year, Gown Town strives to make prom night a bit more memorable for teen girls throughout the Metro Area by providing free gently used prom dresses/gowns. This year’s Gown Town event will take place at Oakland Mall on Sunday April 10th. In 2015, over 1000 dresses were donated and over 500 local women were able to receive a complimentary dress as part of the event.

The Cosmetology program offered at Dorsey School of Beauty offers a perfectly blended education, which includes both classroom instruction as well as hands-on training in a student salon. Throughout the program, students will have the opportunity to learn a variety of topics including how to cut, style, color, and treat hair, manicuring and nail care, skin care and facial treatments, and make-up application. The Cosmetology program at Dorsey School of Beauty consists of at least 1500 clock hours and upon successfully completing the program, students will be eligible to challenge the applicable state of Michigan licensure examinations.
