The purpose of the competition is to have fun and help motivate students to be active on Salon Matchmakers, a visual job site also Co-founded by Michelle Leffler. The hair competition initiative was a huge success with many students enrolling for free on the site and uploading fantastic photos of their creative up-dos for prom.
Winners were announced at the Dorsey School of Beauty’s Open House May 25. The winner was Ms. Paulette, who received accolades for her work, enhancing her model’s natural beauty. In addition, all participants enjoyed a goodie bag from Great Clips.
Prior to the hair competition, the students at the Dorsey School of Beauty were excited, spending two weeks creating “The Look.” Spending the time detailing the hairstyles helped the student participants sharpen and show off their styling skills, getting them ready for salon life. The road to stylist success was only enhanced by Judge Gregory Marks, founder of the Right Now Today organization, who declared, “They all have great potential!”
