On April 24, 2015 the Michigan Association of Career Colleges and Schools (MACCS) held a student awards ceremony where six students were awarded a scholarship and 24 students received an “Outstanding Student Award.” We are elated to share that the recipients included several students/graduates from Dorsey Schools!
The Michigan Association of Career Colleges and Schools issues scholarships annually to students attending a career school in Michigan. In order to be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must complete an application, write a statement of intent why they are pursuing their specific field of study and how they will believe it will change their life, and submit two letters of recommendation. In addition, MACCS has an “Outstanding Student Award” that is presented to students based upon nominations from faculty. In total, three Dorsey Schools’ students/graduates were awarded a scholarship, and seven received the “Outstanding Student Award.”
