On March 16th, 2012, six culinary students and three two-man-teams, challenged their skill set in an American Culinary Federation (ACF) Style competition at the Dorsey Culinary Academy in Pontiac. This was an incredible opportunity for students at different levels to test their skills and creativity outside of the “everyday” school setting. The competition is designed for each contestant to be judged against the ACF competition guidelines, along with constructive feedback. All the students were successful in creating dishes and getting exposure in the competitive setting. We look forward to the next competition, where Dorsey School students can excel and further challenge themselves.
