Back to School Season Is Around the Corner
Here are seven reasons why January 2018 is a great time to start your career training:
New Year, New YOU!
The New Year is around the corner, and as cliché, as it may be, why not make a New Year’s resolution that can help you better yourself. Career training (and education in general) is a gift that you can give yourself. It’s also a gift that no one can take away from you. If you want to make a change in your life, commit to it in 2018. Take that first step by beginning your training for a new career in the new year.
The sooner you start; the sooner you finish!
Procrastinating is a fact of life. We’ve all been there, right? We know things need to be done or there are things that we want to do, but for whatever reason, we put them off. Here’s the thing; the longer you put off starting your career training, the longer you put off finishing your career training. On the flip side, the sooner you start, the sooner you can finish! So why not get started in January 2018?
Start in January, and you can be finished by the holidays in 2018!
Many of the career training programs offered at Dorsey Schools can be completed in a year or less. The actual completion time will vary by program and by the student. This means that depending upon what path a student takes; they could be finished with their training by the holidays next year. What a wonderful gift that would be to yourself! And just think, you could be ready to begin your new career in 2018. That’s something to really look forward to in 2018!
Kids are heading back to school in January 2018, you can too!
Kids will be returning to school from the holiday break in January. For many parents, it makes sense for them to head back to school as well. Some have found it easy to get on a new (school) schedule in the winter or the fall when their kids are heading back to school at the same time.
Set a great example for your kids!
We mentioned already that putting yourself on a new school schedule when your kids are getting back into their school schedule can be beneficial. Going back to school can also be motivation and inspiration to your kids if you’re a parent. Kids will see their parents going back to school to better themselves. It can also be helpful in getting kids to do their homework and study. You may even choose to have group study time/homework time each night with your kids.
It’s one of our most popular times of all year!
January tends to be a very popular time for students to make a change and go back to school. Every year, hundreds of students begin their career training program at Dorsey Schools in January, many of the reasons we have already shared. Given the popularity of the January 2018 class start, now is a great time to consider starting on your path towards a new career.
Seats in certain programs may be limited.
New enrollments in certain Dorsey Schools career training programs may be limited or have limited seats. Again, this is another reason why January is a good time to start your career training. One example is the Culinary Arts program at Dorsey Schools. This program only starts new students four times per year (January being one of them). So for those who don’t start in January, they are going to wait nearly three months before they can begin. That can seem like a long time! Keep in mind, NOW is a great time to get things started. You can reserve a seat in the program of your choice if you’re thinking about training for a new career at Dorsey Schools beginning in January 2018.
